For the first time in Asia, the ‘Supper at Emmaus’ by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, on loan from the Pinacoteca di Brera Museum, Milan, was exhibited in Hong Kong. A projection of the ‘Caravaggio’ three times the size of the painting was shown at Pacific Place mall prior to the arrival of the painting. 150,000 people were mesmerised by the projection. 21,000 people queued for priority tickets.
